AIRCON is a small Brazilian consulting company with its main office located in Rio de Janeiro, RJ, Brazil. We have been providing civil aviation consulting services for over 10 (ten) years, including air transportation, airlines and airports in the fields of engineering, planning, operation & regulatory compliance, as well as environmental impacts, ground handling at airports, safety and security. AIRCON is specialized in carrying out special studies, research, planning, development and operation in a spectrum of civil aviation activities.
Its professional team is comprised of retired Brazilian Air Force officers (engineers and pilots) with high level of education and experience in a broad spectrum of civil aviation activities. Since 2011, AIRCON has rendered services to several organizations dealing with airport & aeronautical infrastructure and technology such as INVEPAR, ODEBRECHT, LLX, PCE and JEPPESEN.
AIRCON consulting services for airport concessionaires have been quite extensive, including specialized and customized technical support to INVEPAR, at São Paulo-Guarulhos International Airport, and ODEBRECHT, at Rio de Janeiro International Airport. Initially, AIRCON has supported INVEPAR and associated consulting companies indevelopment of preliminary studies associated with the first concession bidding process in Brazil (February 2012), which included three airports (GRU, VCP and BSB).
AIRCON’s support included demand & capacity analysis, passenger/cargo terminals design and airside/apron conception discussions, as well as environmental impact evaluation related to the airport operations’ growth.
Later, after the Consortium INVEPAR/ACSA won the concession for GRU AIRPORT(March 2012), AIRCON worked with other Brazilian and international consulting companies in the development of the Operational Transition Plan, Airport Master Plan, Airport Exploration Plan and Infrastructure Management Plan. AIRCON was also involved with other complementary studies, including: Airport Safety and Security Training and Certification Plan, Level-Quality Service Assurance Plan and Airport Operational Certification required by Agencia Nacional de Aviação Civil (ANAC).
During the second round of airport concessions in Brazil, which involved two airports (GIG and CNF), AIRCON was contractedby Consortium ODEBRECHT/CHANGI to provide specialized and customized technical support during the operational transition phase from INFRAERO to the new concessionaire (Rio Galeão).
Over the past few years, AIRCON has expanded its consulting work to the operational optimization of airside infrastructure systems encompassing the airport movement areas. To that end, AIRCON has signed a technical/commercial agreement (2014) with JEPPESEN SANDERSON INC. to provide specific professional consulting services in the area of flow management and related services using its Total Airspace and Airport Modeler (TAAM) software.
More over, AIRCON has developed Aeronautical Studies associated with airport infrastructure operation and expansion, particularly related to non-compliance with Annex 14 - Volume 1 - Aerodromes Standards and Recommended Practices, including Object Analysis in the Airspace, Obstacle Restriction and Removal Analysis, Aerodrome Runway & Taxiway Separations and Runway End Safety Areas (RESA).
Another consulting area that AIRCON has international expertise is in the implementation of airport safety management systems and development of safety risk assessments associated with major airport changes or airside construction. Risk assessments are currently required under the regulatory framework developed and enforced by ANAC.
Finally, AIRCON and its associated consultants have helped many airports in Brazil and abroad with air side pavement evaluations, carrying out analysis and design for its rehabilitation and management.
